Terms of Use
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Read this first: WeldSet gives you starting points for welding settings — not certified procedures. Every number is a place to begin that you must verify on your own machine and material. Always follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions, your Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), applicable codes, and shop safety practices. You are responsible for your welds and your safety.
The app, in short
WeldSet is a reference calculator that suggests starting welding parameters (amperage, wire-feed speed, voltage, gas, polarity, and related settings) based on process, material, and thickness. By using WeldSet you agree to these terms.
Not professional advice or a certified procedure
WeldSet's outputs are estimates for reference and convenience only. They are not a substitute for a qualified Welding Procedure Specification, manufacturer documentation, an engineer's judgment, or applicable codes and standards (such as AWS). Conditions vary by machine, consumable, joint, position, and base metal lot. Test on scrap and verify before production or any safety-critical work.
Use it safely
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all shop and site safety rules.
- Confirm settings against your equipment's manual and your WPS.
- Do not rely on WeldSet for structural, pressure, code, or other safety-critical welds without independent qualification.
Purchases
WeldSet is free to start. A single one-time in-app purchase unlocks all processes, materials, unlimited saved jobs, and bead photos. There is no subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's Standard EULA. The one-time unlock is a single purchase with nothing to cancel.
Your content
Saved jobs, notes, and bead photos you create stay on your device and belong to you. You're responsible for backing them up (e.g., via your iPhone/iCloud device backup).
Disclaimer of warranties
WeldSet is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that any setting is correct for your specific job.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages, injury, loss, or defect arising from use of, or reliance on, WeldSet or its outputs. You assume full responsibility for verifying settings and for the results of your work.
Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
