How do I get my settings?
Pick your process (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-core), tap your material, set your thickness with the stepper. The dial lands on a starting amperage, and the readouts give you wire-feed speed, voltage, gas, and polarity for that joint.
Are these numbers exact?
No — and no honest calculator's are. WeldSet gives you a trustworthy starting point drawn from published manufacturer and AWS practice. Strike a test piece, then tune to your wire, your gas, and your bead. Always follow your WPS and shop safety.
Where do the numbers come from?
Established weld-parameter references and OEM charts, cross-checked against multiple sources. Table accuracy is the thing we guard hardest.
Does it work without internet?
Yes — 100%. Every table is on your device. No signal in the shop, no account, no problem.
How do I save a setup?
From any result, tap Save Setup. It stores the process, material, thickness, and your tuned amps — name it per machine and add a bead photo so it's your own book.
How do I share settings with my crew?
Tap Share Card on a result. Your phone's share sheet sends a clean settings card by AirDrop, Messages, or anything else — the exact setup, no retyping.
Will my saved jobs sync to a new phone?
Saved jobs live on the device today. Back them up with your normal iPhone/iCloud device backup. Cross-device sync is on the roadmap.
Can I switch between inches and millimeters?
Yes — toggle inch/mm right under the thickness stepper, or set your default in Settings.
Can I use Siri?
Yes. Try “Hey Siri, MIG settings for quarter-inch steel” — it returns the result and deep-links into the app for tuning.
